But hang on! the PRINCE2 manual and the PMBoK Guide both insist that a project start with a clear view and finish when outputs are transitioned, way before value is created. Hmm so P2 & PMBoK are a SUBSET of good project guidance!
In fact between them they manage to cover about 60% of what we need between tem. Generally they are fairly complimentary – like a left-hand glove with 6 fingers on a right hand with four fingers. In places they categorically contradict each other, they both mix brilliant insight with stupidity and blindness and unworldlyness
