New generation thinking focuses on the needs of the customer who is investing. #pm_ngt adds tools to the traditional set that are lacking from the supplier’s world-view. Tools and attitude the support the exploration of objectives before embarking on change-steps, that define value before cost and that persist through activity to realize benefits post-project and the supplier’s exit.
We must redefine the word ‘project’ to be the whole-of-change journey or we must find a term that relegates ‘project’ to be just that subset element of the whole that is the “temporary organisation structure whose purpose is (merely) creation of ‘deliverables'”.
